Had another parkour escapade yesterday at the college (it's currently closed for winter break so surveillance was at a minimum). Being pretty out of shape and pretty short, I wasn't able to do many maneuvers. Or any, really. I managed to get up on a wall by the K building -- with the help of a trashcan -- though on my descent, I got my wrist pretty scarred. Also, out of complete spontaneity, I ran to a tree in attempt to climb it only to grab onto dead bark and scraping my other wrist. And now my arms make me out to be an amateur suicide girl. D:<
Also, some highlights of the trip before my batteries died. I might upload the pics/vids from my phone if I ever get around to it. Mostly Chris climbing the steel beams around the amphitheater, Mike jumping over lots of things, and my battle scars. Too bad I never got anything from Mike and Chris jumping onto an 18-wheeler.
I have high hopes for SuperCon this coming up spring. I'm planning on going as Psylocke and maybe, if time/money allows, Cassandra Cain. It'd be a whole Marvel vs. DC thing. I don't think anyone else would catch on though.
Marc from AF asked if I wanted to help run Anime South, a convention in Destin. I told him no, explaining that I would only see every kid I have ever hated from high school. He said I'd be able to get in for free, snag some swag, and that he might get me the Buffy season 6 box set. I told him I'd get back with him. Can't be too bad, right? I can totally kick out weeaboos and stuff. Not to mention, I could test run my Psylocke costume (given it gets here in time). I think the irony would be worth it.
Also also, I'm thinking we might head over to Tennessee or something for a summer camping trip, which would be excellent seeing as I still haven't put my twelve-person tent to any use. And I've had it for six years. I'd definitely like to go on some trip of some kind before moving out to Tally, at least.
Besides that, nothing much to update on. This is interesting though.
And here's Marie with the latest.
Tragic story, Jon and I got haircuts yesterday but were not able to get cute new haircut pictures. Or at least together. My new 'do is a bit shorter than I had expected but I think I can make it work somehow
Another highlight, I finally got around to playing Elebits at Steven's. It was alright for the ten or so minutes I spent on it but not much of a spectator game. Aw well. In related news, I also got my butt over to Game Zone to exchange my unneeded/unplayed/unfun games for credit towards a flashy new DS lite. Sadly, I let my regular DS go for $35, the bastards at Game Zone are selling it for $75. Capitalist pigs. Whatever. I currently have $130.50 for the lite and I'm planning on snatching one as soon as they get a shipment in. *yay*
In much more recent news, mama's letting me go to Tallahassee. As in, I said I was going and she was pretty much asleep. I'm sure she understood me though, because she sounded kinda peeved (not your usual because-she-was-sleeping peeved). But nonetheless, at least I'll be out of town for a day. This town will drive you bonkers, I tell you. But enough about the bad stuff. I'm gonna see Mastadon live! Woo! =D

What are 5 things you'd like to accomplish in the next 5 years?
1) Figure out what I'm majoring in.
2) Graduate.I've been so wishy-washy on the whole thing. Been throwing around advertisement, geology, French, and history for some time now but nothing seems to stick out. Aw well, I'll keep you posted.
3) Travel.Depending on what I actually do major in, I'll transfer and hopefully graduate. G'bye easy would-be community college.
Two goals fall under this one. I'd like to take a good ol' US road trip. Maybe if New Orleans gets fixed, I'll stop by. Thanks to being in a world renowned band (Marching Band World, anyway) I've had the oppurtunity to explore bits of the US of A. ie. Hollywood, CA., Orlando, FL., New Orleans, LA., Washington, DC., Philadelphia, PA., and New York City, NY. Being a Florida native myself, Orlando wasn't as big of a hoot as one would think. Coincidentally, I was a doublé dork; I was a member of the French club, too! (*cough*President two years running) So lucky me experienced Nawlins twice before Katrina f'ed it over.
Part two involves maybe a month or so exploring the world. I've had my heart set on someday scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef but recent complications have caused some winds of change. I still anticipate backpacking through Europe, though. I'd like to test out my French skills on zee natives.4) Find a house.
5) Become a Girl Scout Troop leader.God knows I'm not staying in Crestview. My only preference is that I'd like to live somewhere with a beach nearby. Or at least close enough for a short drive. The Emerald Coast has spoiled me.
I am so serious. Nothing has shaped my formative years more than GS and if that makes me an uber dork then so be it. At least I'll have delicious, over-priced cookies.
Just a little something extra...
Some other memorable moments in the fabled city of New Orleans. We actually took the trip the week before Mardi Gras. GOOD TIMES.
